I used the 10-point-grid. Because it seemed so naturally.
You push elements around in a Design App, press Shift & some arrow key & it moves your element 10px.
But, somewhen around 2016, I realized using it was wrong. I was wrong. All the different screen-sizes with all the different renderings – the 10-point-grid didn’t fit to render whole-pixel elements.
The 8-point-grid is the solution to all @nx-rendering in all the different screen-devices. Even Android’s @0.75x & @1.5x. It just fits perfectly.
